New Year Snowfall
What a treat. I was out and about with sketch book and camera. We spent New Years Day in the Beacons on a favorite walk near Dyfynnog and we were back in the area two days later on another walk at the Craig Cerrig Geisiad a Fan Frynach nature reserve. Closer to home the Towy Valley looked especially beautiful over the new year and I got some lovely photos of early morning mist on the Towy near my home and photos of Dinefwr and Dryslwyn castles.

This may make a good subject for class. It reminds me of a Seago or Wesson or Fletcher-Watson picture with the large tree on the left throwing shadows across the road. Any guesses where it is?

The castle kept appearing and then vanishing into the mist. I may use one of the images on next years Xmas card. You have to think ahead!

This has got to be one of my favorite places ever near the top of the world - Dyfynnog. There are views over to Pen y fan, the Black Mountains and the Carmarthen Bans. There should be some paintings from this visit.

Hi Wendy,
Wonderful photographs of the snow. Will make excellent references for future paintings.
